1. Programs purpose





This program packages consists of GenPatch which is


for the making of patchfiles and DoPatch which is for


applying those patchfiles.





It's available for Windows 95/NT, DOS/Windows3.1,


OS/2, SCO Unix and Linux.





2. Installation





Very easy. Simply extract the archive and include the


directory in your system path.





For DOS and Windows this is: (if you extracted BinPatch


to c:\binpatch)





PATH %PATH%;c:\binpatch





To have this permanent add it to the autoexec.bat file


or the PATH environment under WinNT.





3. Status





The software is commercial and copyrighted, but usage for


non-commercial purposes is allowed without puchasing a


dedicated license. Note that patching shareware, light or


trial versions is regarded commercial and only allowed for


the authors themselves. Please refer to the license found


in readme.htm in all distributions.





4. Distribution





Please distribute the software to any place where people can


download it for free and the software is not misrepresented.





As it's free for non-commercial, you probably like to support


us in that as we cannot do this ourselves. Please don't change


anything in it without asking me using us using the contact
