■語系說明





1. 同時支援繁體中文 (BIG5) 、簡體中文 (GB2312) 在 NT5 1877 使用


    vc5 (ka 簡化版) 進行中文化，與測試正常。





2.簡體語系使用 [宋体9] 來當顯示字型。兩岸電腦專有名詞則使用 Kii Ali 


  所做繁簡巨集轉換 1.2，並另加人工修正，以期儘可能與大陸使用名詞一致。








■軟體說明





MapInfo 是 GIS/地理資訊系統 的軟體。





MapInfo 並不是功能最強大的 GIS 軟體，在 3D 的立體表現尚需要


Vertical Mapper 協助，由於他提供了相當便宜的解決方案，在一般的


Win98/NT 即可執行，這些平易近人的條件，使 MapInfo 成為 Win98/NT 


下做 GIS 的不二選擇。也使得它成為國內大學中，教學比例相當高的 


GIS 軟體。





而 MapBasic 正是用來寫作 MapInfo 的巨集工具，他可以說是完整發展的


程式語言，編譯出來的 *.mbx 可以在 MapInfo 做為附加個人化工具執行，


當然也可以與其他 VB, C/C++ 程式連結。








另外，底下這篇報告雖然是針對 MapInfo 4.0 所做，在今日看來，仍然


具有相當的參考價值。如果您剛接觸 MapInfo ，強烈建議您翻一翻。

■中文化方法





0.此中文化「不能」用於正式版的 MapBasic 5.5 ，必須從指定的目錄下載


  MapBasic 5.5 beta8 原始檔案。





1.(繁體中文版)解壓壓縮檔當中的 cmb55.exe 到指定目錄執行，即可完成中文化。


預設指定為 "C:\Program Files\Mapinfo\MapBasic\ ，中文化後的副檔名為


改為 *.old。





2.(簡體中文版)解壓壓縮檔當中的 pmb55.exe 到指定目錄執行，即可完成中文化。


預設指定為 "C:\Program Files\Mapinfo\MapBasic\ ，中文化後的副檔名為


改為 *.old。





* (也算廣告) 朋友來信跟弟抱怨，在使用 Kii Ali 中文化 MDF 格式 patch 檔


  ，弄不清該解到那個地方。可能是使用 win98 「我的電腦」或是「檔案總管」


  ，一個一個視窗接連開下去的結果，對於「目錄/路徑/資料夾」概念弄混了。


  底下「檔案新總管」拿回去吧，除了解決「目錄/路徑/資料夾」概念，用後兩


  年內弟沒有再碰過 winzip 這類的軟體。用不到了嘛，內建的功能幾乎都有了。
